Mediafleet secures new contract for Mears vehicles
There is little doubt that when a vehicle graphics company is able to offer true service flexibility together with specialised bespoke services, all as part of their normal portfolio of everyday services, eventually it gets noticed due to the ease by which complex fleets can be supported over time.
And this was certainly the case with the new Mears contract.
For the last few years, Mediafleet has been supplying Mears for some (but not all) of the Mears fleet branding requirements; mainly for the implementation and management of the dual branding that is required for the Mears partnership programmes with organisations such as housing associations; and earlier this year you may have seen the work we did with a division of the Mears Group – MPS.
This type of branding requires flexibility as ‘in-fleeted’ vehicles of this type can require regular re-branding due to changing commercial relationships and other factors. This is where we excel at Mediafleet mainly due to our operational expertise and the fact we manage our own ‘in-house’ fitting team making tasks such as this much easier. Plus, our ‘after-sales care manager’ offers effective management of the repair graphics, distribution and vehicle repair.
Policing these graphics can be a complex task with multiple branding initiatives in place. All this in conjunction with our promise that we will repair the vehicle graphics within seventy-two hours of receiving the repair order.
Recently, after a period of re-organisation and consolidation within Mears, I am very happy to report that there has been a significant increase in the volume of vehicles that Mediafleet is being asked to brand which can only be because of the service levels Mears have come to expect from their vehicle graphics provider.
I am very pleased to say that we have just secured a substantial order for the re-branding of vehicles for the new Mears fleet. At the time of writing, I am awaiting the vehicle allocations and I will keep you updated on this exciting piece of new business.
It just goes to show that what starts as a ‘niche’ opportunity can quickly develop into a substantial piece of business – all through providing service excellence in a flexible and innovative manner.
