Gemma Trew – Fleet Manager

The Challenge: “My challenge was to ensure the highest quality of service and brand visibility in rolling out our new identity across the SSE vehicle fleet. I recognised early on that I would need a responsive, innovative and most of all reliable organisation to do this. Working with an external branding team can sometimes lead to conflict; but I felt confident in my decision to engage with Mediafleet. Their listening and learning approach and no-nonsense attitude has been refreshing and I now know that my intuition was spot on”.

The Solution: “The Mediafleet artwork team worked closely with our agency to take what was essentially a 2D graphic and create a 3D brand that would meet the exacting standards of SSE. Not only was this process seamless but the graphics had to be guaranteed to work on all vehicle types.

From an operational perspective, I was very pleased with the Mediafleet input; suggesting solutions to what are complex logistical issues”.

The Outcome: “Through 2014 – 2016, we commissioned Mediafleet to brand some 3,500 vehicles that included both new vehicles and in-fleet re-brands.

My decision to work so closely with Mediafleet through this process has reinforced our brand - the vehicles are smart and recognisable and ‘work’ on all vehicle types.

Of course, it is a big decision to alter established and recognised brand graphics but I am happy with the outcome and continue to use Mediafleet as our preferred supplier”.

Europcar UK Group | Fleet Procurement Analyst, Chris PARROTT

The Challenge: “At Europcar, we operate a vast fleet with a huge annual in-take of vehicles. In addition, the business is growing meaning the number of vehicles we are having to in-fleet is also increasing.

Our procurement methods take advantage of market dynamics enabling us to buy competitively but this also means that the demands on our livery provider are high. The challenge for Europcar was in finding a livery provider with the necessary resource to deliver the livery kits required against very tight lead times."

The Solution: “Mediafleet were prepared to invest in a supply partnership with Europcar, increasing their output capabilities by recruiting additional staff and purchasing additional equipment. In effect a dedicated production line for all of our graphics and livery was established at their Witney facility, and we felt confident that Mediafleet could deliver against our tight schedules whilst retaining the quality we require”.

The Outcome: “Since 2013 Mediafleet has successfully furnished Europcar with the livery we require when we require it. In some cases, the lead-time available to Mediafleet can be as short as one week but they are still able to deliver over 200 kits per week without issue.

Mediafleet continue to meet our demanding schedule and have a faultless track record”.

Comment: “You can feel confident in appointing Mediafleet as your livery provider”.

Alan Scott, Procurement and Asset Management Director at Enigma & Mark Stevens – LCV Consultant at Zenith

The Challenge: Alan Scott for Enigma says, “With a combined vehicle program of 150 LCV and HGV we required a vehicle design that really stood out from the crowd; so we presented a design brief focused on high impact branding but at cost-efficient pricing.”

Mark Stevens of Zenith says, “We recommended Mediafleet to help Enigma create a brand new design for their fleet of Renault and Toyota vehicles. The dedicated design team, combined with the production capability and in-house fitting team, provided a ‘one-stop-shop’ service.”

The Solution: The Enigma team collaborated with Mediafleet on the vehicle designs. James Parry, head of design at Mediafleet says, “we were furnished with a striking colour palette and the iconic ‘e-logo’. The fact that the vehicles are finished in black from the factory enabled me to maximise impact through dynamic contrast. After we presented a series of concepts the design was signed off by the Enigma management team.”

The designs went in to production at the Witney production facility and the application is underway at BCA in Southampton.

The Outcome: Alan Scott of Enigma says, “The current build is well underway, and we have also re-branded our HGV fleet to update it with the new design. We look forward to working with Mediafleet going forward.”

Mark Stevens says, “Zenith are extremely pleased with the outcome of this project. Every aspect of graphics provisioning has been met with a professional approach and attitude. There was a seamless integration of design, production and application as Mediafleet liaised with all parties, including the Renault and Toyota supply chain.”

Crouch Logistics | Director, Chris Crouch

The Challenge: Chris Crouch of Crouch Logistics says, “It is crucial that our UPS vehicles display the correct UPS corporate branding and that means a complete colour change to the vehicle arriving from factory. A normal re-spray offered prohibitive costs and vehicle wrapping also proved too expensive. Mediafleet provided the solution with their WrapidCoat spray on vinyl system.

The Solution: “The vehicles arrive at the Mediafleet factory where they are given the WrapidCoat treatment. The finish is excellent and certainly as good as a wrap. Our vehicles have a hard life on the road but WrapidCoat has proved incredibly durable in terms of colour stability and reslience.”

The Outcome: Chris says, “We are extremely pleased with the results from WrapidCoat. We will continue to use WrapidCoat for our UPS vehicles due to the reliability and cost effectiveness of the product. We will continue to use Mediafleet because of the professional approach and reliability of service.

Barnaby Smith, managing director of Mediafleet says, “I am immensely proud of the WrapidCoat team. They are efficient and produce professional results every time without fail. WrapidCoat is set to change the way fleet vehicles undergo colour change.”
