As from April 1 2009, the five councils in Wiltshire merged to create one unitary authority resulting in a need for an overhaul of corporate branding. All vehicle liveries and signage on customer facing buildings across the county would now read, simply Wiltshire Council.

Mediafleet were appointed as one of 12 suppliers to complete a large and cost-effective vehicle re-branding program, which was to help ensure the identity of the newly formed council was evident to the public from April 1.

Mediafleet relished the opportunity to showcase their core skill, decommissioning and rebranding approximately 120 vehicles of various shapes, sizes and designs in just one working week. The new livery included partial wrap sections and chapter 8 reflective chevroning to the council’s highway vehicles. All were fitted on site at Wiltshire Council depots.

Joanna Smith, account manager for the Wiltshire Council project at Mediafleet says;

            “We are really pleased to have been given the opportunity to re-brand such a substantial part of the Council’s fleet. With the wide variety of vehicle types involved, it was certainly a challenge to ensure that each unit was correctly liveried. I think we have to thank our Graphics Design team for that – their experience certainly helped the project to run smoothly.”
